You will play a key role in shaping financial decision-making at tesa by acting as a trusted business partner to senior management. With your insights, you directly influence performance, strategy, and long-term value creation across the global organization.
In this role, you go beyond classical controlling: you actively challenge business perspectives, translate financial data into clear recommendations, and drive forward-looking planning and forecasting processes. You also contribute to modernizing controlling by leveraging digital tools and data-driven approaches.
Working closely with regions, Business Units, and corporate functions, you ensure transparency, consistency, and impact in financial steering.
- Guide financial decision-making by providing relevant reporting, KPI monitoring, and forward-looking forecasts
- Deliver comprehensive financial insights to senior management by analyzing and interpreting business performance across the tesa Group
- Coordinate and steer global planning and forecasting processes, ensuring high-quality and consistent outputs across regions and Business Units
- Analyze budget variances and translate findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations
- Conduct in-depth financial analyses (e.g. profitability, cost, and variance analyses) to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Act as a sparring partner for senior stakeholders—challenging assumptions, bringing independent perspectives, and influencing decisions
- Contribute to strategy development and performance reviews, ensuring alignment between financial targets and execution
- Drive the next generation of controlling by advancing digital, data-driven ways of working
- University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Several years of experience (approx. 5+ years) in controlling (business, regional) and corporate finance within an international environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes
- Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and the improvement of controlling tools and processes
- Strong analytical thinking combined with the ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable insights
- High level of proactivity, independence, and resilience, with a strong sense of ownership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in interacting with senior stakeholders
- Experience with ERP, consolidation systems & tools, Analysis for Office, and advanced Excel; affinity for digital and data-driven working methods
